Diesel Volkswagen Touareg: what changes with a remap

Nothing is bolted on in a diesel remap. The ECU's stored maps for injection quantity, rail pressure and turbo boost are rewritten within safe limits, and because diesels make power through torque, that is where the improvement is most obvious.

For reference, TDI is the Volkswagen Group name for its turbocharged direct-injection diesel engines.
