What a remap does for a diesel Renault Espace

The gains from remapping a diesel come from the engine management software rather than new parts: injection, boost and torque limits are re-mapped, which is why torque improves most and why the car often feels easier to drive at lower revs.

For reference, dCi is the Renault-group name for its common-rail diesel engines.
