Diesel Renault Espace: what changes with a remap

The gains from remapping a diesel come from the engine management software rather than new parts: injection, boost and torque limits are re-mapped, which is why torque improves most and why the car often feels easier to drive at lower revs.

Of the 9 diesel Espace engines in our data, this one comes 9th for power gain, which is 7 bhp below the Espace diesel average of 35 bhp.
